Stuff I have measured

This is a collaborative effort with Lorenzo Piccoli, Jean-Thomas Arrighi, and Rainer Bauböck. The Electoral Law Indicators (ELECLAW) measure the inclusiveness of the right to vote and the right to stand as candidate across four levels and three types of elections for three categories of voters: citizen residents, non-citizen residents, and non-resident citizens. They cover 51 democracies across three continents (the Americas, Europe, and Oceania), depicting the legal situation in 2015.

IMIX

This is a collaborative effort with Andrea C. Blätter and Joachim K. Blatter. The Immigrant Inclusion Index (IMIX) measures the electoral inclusiveness (de fact and de jure) via alien enfranchisment and access to citizenship in 20 established democracies with stable boundaries across the European Union. The data cluster around 2010.
The Citizenship Regime Inclusiveness Index (CITRIX) measures the inclusiveness of regulations for immigrants’ access to citizenship across 23 OECD countries from 1980 to 2019, zooming in on four essential policy components: conditions regarding (1) birthright; (2) residence; (3) renunciation; and (4) integration. I used conceptual refinements and triangulation of existing measures and data to generate this original dataset.
